The Calcasieu Parish Public Trust Authority is a jurisdictional entity formed in 1979 to provide programs that encourage new home buyers to enter the housing market. Since then, the Trust has facilitated more than $500,000,000 in programming. The Board of Directors receives support services from the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury.
